Is there a surcharge for P & P ?

Delivery will incur the following charges:
- UK: £2.99
- Europe: Delivery to other countries in Europe: £4.99
- US and Rest of the World: £6.99

How can I pay for my order ?
|
| We accept most major credit and debit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, Solo and Switch(*). Your card will not be charged until your order has been dispatched. Should an item be out-of-stock or subject to a change in price, we will contact you by e-mail or phone to discuss any alternatives. You can also send us a cheque made payable to PC2Paper. We no longer accept postal orders. |

How much does a product cost in my currency ?
|
| All the prices on the The Joke Shop are in pounds Sterling. When you pay by credit card, the amount will be converted into your own currency by your bank. You can get an approximate idea of the actual cost in your currency by using this online currency calculator. Exchange rates are dependant on your bank. Contact your bank for the exact rate of exchange. Please note some banks also charge extra for foreign transactions. This is not a charge debited by The Joke Shop. |

Will my credit card details be secure ?

| Your payment and order details are sent to us across a secure connection that uses a 128 bit certificate. This means that the information is encrypted and is processed directly by our banking gateway. At no point do we see your credit card details. You can see that the pages are secure because the address in the address bar changes from being http:// to https://. You will also see a padlock symbol or key in the bottom bar of your browser. |

I do not want to leave my credit card details online. What should I do?

| There is no need to leave your details online. You can leave a contact number to enable us to contact you for your payment details. You may also contact us with your details over email or by telephone. Contacting us in advance, may mean that you receive your order sooner. It is important to mention your reference number with all correspondence. As an alternative to credit card, you may pay by Paypal and UK Cheque. Cheques should be made payable to PC2Paper. Please do not send us US or canadian postal orders unless they are made out to the equivalent amount in pounds sterling. Orders made out in US dollars will be returned to you causing a delay to to your order. |

I do not have a credit card, is there another way that I can purchase from The Joke Shop?

| Beside Visa and MasterCard credit cards, we also accept Switch and Solo. Aside from card payments, we will also accept the following methods of payment: Paypal, Nochex and UK Cheques made payable to PC2Paper. You can place your order on the website or send us a Postal Order Form. |

How long will my order take to be dispatched?
|
| We aim to dispatch our orders as soon as possible. Most orders are dispatched within 7 working days. You should see an estimated dispatch date when you chekout your order. Please note we do not open at weekends or bank holidays, working days are Monday to Friday. Some hard to obtain items can take up to 28 working days to be dispatched. We will usually notify you if your order is likely to take more than 7 days. Delivery times will be dependant upon the destination. All our packages are dispatched using Royal Mail Service. All items dispatched on express deliver require a signature. Please note that the express delivery fee cannot be refunded when an item has been delayed due to Royal Mail being unable to a signature for the item or if an item is returned to us as uncollected. |

How long is delivery expected to take?

Once you have received an email stating that your order has been dispatched, delivery times will be approximately as follows:-
- To the UK - 1 to 2 Days
- To Europe - 3 to 5 Days
- To USA - 5 to 9 Days
- To the rest of the world, it may vary from 3 to 14 days.

Can’t I get my orders any faster?

If you are really desperate or simply cannot wait, we can arrange a courier service. This will typically take between 1 to 3 working days for delivery to almost anywhere in the world. Prices for this service are dependant upon package weight and destination and usually start from around £30.00. You must contact us if you wish to receive this service.

What are The Joke Shop work hours?
|
| We are open between 9:00 am and 17:00 GMT Monday to Friday. We are closed weekends and public holidays. Please note that our cut-off time for orders is 13:00. Any orders received after this time will be dealt with on the following work day. |

Do you have all the items on the site in stock?
|
| We have a wide selection of items in stock, however we do not always have everything as we have a wide turnover of stock. We are usually able to obtain the stock within 7 days from our suppliers. We will contact you if we are unable to obtain the item of your choice and offer you an alternative. |

Why did my order arrive in a used box / packaging?

| We try to use recycled packaging as often as possible to minimize the impact to our environment. However, we also provide an option on our checkout form to request non recycled packaging. |

|
| We do not have catalogues as we have a wide variety of products. You may search using our search engine on the site. If you still have not found the item you are after, we will try to locate one for your. Please email us with your requirements. |

Is there a store I can visit?

| The Joke Shop is an internet only business, we do not have a store that customers can visit. |

I would like to make a bulk order, can I obtain a discount?
|
| Whilst we are not a wholesaler depending on the size of your order, we may be able to offer you a discount. Please contact us with details and we will try to offer you a discount. |

Why was my order cancelled?
|
| We do not cancel orders without a good reason. Your reason will have been stated on the cancellation email. We may have cancelled the order because we may not have enough information to contact you or your payment is outstanding. If we have been unable to process payment within 28 working days, we may also cancel your order. However, canceling orders is an extreme situation. If you feel that your order has been cancelled in error, please contact us and we will rectify the situation. If you are still interested in the order after it has been cancelled, please contact us and we will try to solve the matter. |

Why have you billed my card twice?
|
| When we receive an order at the Joke Shop we do what is a called a pre-authorisation on the card. This tells us that the credit card being used is able to cover the amount of the order. In effect this leaves what can be called a footprint on the card for the amount of money required; at this point no money is deducted from the card. This process is usually invisible to the customer although it may appear on some statements as a pre-authorisation or pending payment. When we are about to dispatch the order we perform a release. This is where the money is actually taken from your card and put into our account. We do this because we cannot always guarantee we have items in stock and it is illegal for us to take payment for an item until it arrives in stock. While this may appear as two transactions on your card there is in fact only one. |
